"The good news is that we came prepared today to play double and competed well at all 3 positions,” Head Coach Erica Perkins Jasper said. “We put ourselves in position to win all 3 and came away with 2 solid wins. The bad news is that we have a lot of work still left to do on the doubles court to be competitive this spring but I know now that this team is hungry to get better and that is exciting!"
"In singles we competed pretty well in all 7 matches--Nina Grbac, Laura Richardson, and Misa [Michaela] Bezdickova all fought back in their matches and left it all out there today--which is a big step for this team. Coach McKenna and I were very pleased with the team effort today and the improvements we saw throughout the weekend."
The Lobos will face their first dual match opponent against Western New Mexico on February 2 at 12:00 p.m. MT. The match will have live stats available on golobos.com.
