Back To Business, Women's Tennis Downs USU

LAS VEGAS ( - Back on the courts for the first time since Feb. 24, the UNLV women's tennis team made quick work of future Mountain West rival Utah State in the first of two matches Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Lady Rebels (7-3) won their fourth in a row by taking the first four completed singles matches. The match was then halted and doubles was not played.

Lucia Batta, ranked 90th in the nation, downed McKenzie Davis 6-0, 6-1 at the second position, Nives Pavlovic defeated Kristina Voytsekhovi, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2, Janine Erasmus won against Kallie Sperry, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 5, and Iren Kotseva swept Amber Stuhlmann, 6-1, 6-1, on court six.

UNLV was scheduled to take on UC Riverside later in the day.
