FULLERTON, CALIF. - The Colorado State women’s tennis team won its third dual match against Cal State Los Angeles, 6-3, Wednesday, in the final match of their road trip.

“We really didn't play well in doubles today, and that motivated us to play well in singles,” said head coach Jon Messick. “All of the singles wins we had were straight sets, which was really a sign of toughness that we pulled those wins out.”

The Rams lost two out of the three doubles points to the Golden Eagles. Natalie Heffron and Adriana Wojakowska defeated Tiffany Leung and Sydney Postal at the No. 3 doubles position, 8-2.

In singles, the Rams won five out of the possible six singles matches. Kaley Schultz defeated Tiffani Shaik 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 1 position for her first dual victory of the spring season. Kendall Heitzner went undefeated in singles on the road trip by defeating Jill Sangria 7-5, 6-4, at the No. 3 position.

The Rams will look to pick up its first conference victory of the spring when they take on Wyoming Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. MT, in Laramie.
