Tennis recap: Rams fall 7-0 in first conference match

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - In the first match of a back-to-back weekend, the Colorado State Rams were topped, 7-0, by San Diego State.

In doubles, Colorado State came up short at Nos. 1, 2, and 3. First to be defeated was Adriana and Veronika Wojakowska at No. 3 followed by Tori Arneson and Kaley Schultz, 8-3.

With the first match point under their belts, the Aztecs (5-9, 1-0) maintained momentum over the Rams (3-9,0-1 MW).

In singles,  the Rams were unable to come through once more as San Diego State swept the Rams 6-0.

First to fall was Arneson, followed by Adriana Wojakowska, Schultz and Veronika Wojakowska.

Colorado State wrapped up the day with losses at the Nos. 3 and 2 positions, putting the Aztecs up, 7-0 for the day.

The Rams will return to the courts Sunday night to take on UNLV in Colorado State's second inter-conference battle.
