FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State women’s tennis team finished out the CSU Invitational Sunday at the University Tennis Complex, winning all but three matches for the weekend.

The last day of the invite featured one last round of singles. The Rams concluded the invite in singles with a record of 25-2 and 13-1 for doubles.

“The results were similar to yesterday,” said Head Coach Jon Messick. “We were looking for improvement and the players played aggressive every day.”

Seven out of the nine players for Colorado State went undefeated in the tournament, including sophomore Natalie Heffron and Adriana Wojakowska.

“It was a good base for the rest of the fall,” said Messick.

Freshman Jennifer Weissmann finished the day for the Rams beating Northern Colorado’s Taylor Schumacher, 6-3, 6-1.

“We built confidence that we need next week. We have rough competition,” said Messick.

Colorado State will return to the courts Sept. 28 to match up at the Boise State Invitational in Boise, Idaho.
