SDSU Women's Tennis To Open Spring Season
The San Diego State women's tennis team will open the 2013 season as it plays host to UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton on Friday. The doubleheader will begin at 9 am when the Aztecs face the Highlanders and action will resume at 4 pm as SDSU takes on the Titans. Last season, San Diego State served up a pair of shut outs to UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton, both with a score of 7-0.

This weekend's competition will mark the first dual match play of the Aztecs spring season. Their last outing came in the SDSU Fall Classic II when SDSU claimed two championship titles.

Fall Highlights
The Aztecs saw early success this fall in their two home tournaments, SDSU Fall Classic I and SDSU Fall Classic II.

At the Fall Classic I, San Diego State took three out of five singles titles and walked away with one doubles title. Seniors Julia Wais and Alicia Aguilar went undefeated on the weekend to take the doubles title. Claiming singles crowns were Aguilar, Tami Nguyen and Kristin Buth.

At the second Fall Classic, SDSU's lone ranked preseason player, No. 90 Julia Wais, picked up a consolation championship. Also notching a consolation title was Dora Somoracz.
