Last Dual Match for New Mexico:
The Lobos are coming off a 7-0 victory against Western New Mexico at home. This was their first blow-out of the season. The Lobos have an overall record this season of 4-2. The Lobos won all three doubles matches to take the lead 1-0. Michaela Oldani was the first to finish in singles defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-2 at the number five position. Michaela Bezdickova was the last to finish sealing the 7-0 win for the Lobos. She defeated her opponent at the number one spot with a score of 6-0, 7-5. Susanna Kuuttila and Michaela Bezdickova lead the Lobos with a 4-2 record in singles. The top two singles players are also 2-0 together in doubles. Michaela Bezdickova leads the Lobos in most win in doubles with a dual match record of 5- 1.
UTEP, New Mexico, and Idaho:
UTEP is 2-9 for the spring season. Marie LeBlond currently leads the Miners with a dual match score of 8-3 in singles. The top two doubles teams for the Miners are Marie LeBlond/Gabi Vazquez and Dariya Abdrakhmanova/Anastasiya Sylenko each with a 4-2 record in dual match doubles. New Mexico State is currently 5-3 for the spring season. Natalie Salum leads the Aggies with a dual match singles record of 7- 0. Idaho is 7-4 for the spring season. The Vandals top singles player in dual matches is Almudena Sanz leading with a record of 8-3. Directly behind her is fellow teammates Sophie Vickers and Victoria Lozano both with a singles record of 7-4. Idaho has two top doubles teams both with a dual match record of 8-2. They are Beatriz Flores/Victoria Lozano and Sophie Vickers/Almudena Sanz. New Mexico State and Idaho are both coming off with a win, while UTEP is coming off a 4-3 loss to UMKC.
Next Up: The Lobos will travel to Flagstaff, Arizona to take on Northern Arizona and Akron on March 10-11, 2012.
