Dog or cat: Dogs, especially Labs. I'm allergic to cats.
Tennis or dancing: I was 10 years old when I started playing tennis. I had been a dancer, then my parents wanted me to try another sport as well.
Tennis family: Both of my parents played tennis in college, so it was easy to pick up because of their history.
Biggest tennis thrill at CSU: Being able to be part of a team and play as a team in front of our home crowd. Our crowd support is amazing, and our supporters are wonderful!
Biggest challenge as a student-athlete: Balancing tennis, social life, school and family. It's sometimes a challenge to give equal time to everything, but it ends up all working out.
What is something your teammates don't know about you: That I am a huge hockey fan! I grew up going to the San Diego Gulls games with my dad, and I've been a Los Angeles Kings fan and Avalanche fan ever since!
Favorite food: Blueberries. I just pop them in like candy.
Favorite drink: Shirley Temples. They just stuck with me as a kid.
Favorite class: I really love my fashion classes! I am an apparel and merchandising major, and I think my favorite class is one that selected a few students to put on a fashion show last spring. I was part of the garment committee and dressed the models with collections made by senior designers.
Favorite faculty members: My adviser, Kendra Allen. She is amazing, fun-spirited, and has helped me so much in my major and athletics.
Plans following graduation: I hope to work in the apparel and merchandising field as either a visual merchandiser, stylist, or in sales management with preferably an athletic company. I'd like to combine my love for fashion and sports together, if possible.
Favorite actress: Jennifer Aniston or Rachel McAdams.
Favorite actor: Matt Damon or Channing Tatum.
Favorite movie: My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Proposal or the Bourne series.
Biggest challenge facing the tennis team this season: I would love for us to be tops in the conference this year. We have five new freshmen this year, so a lot of young talent. I think this goal is not out of reach. I'm excited to see how this year will be. I have a lot of faith and confidence in the returning team and freshmen. We have a great bond, so this challenge will be a good one for the team.
