FRESNO, Calif. ---The No. 60 Fresno State women's tennis team will host its final home matches of the season this week as the Bulldogs welcome three Mountain West opponents in three days to the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.

The 'Dogs begin the three day stretch on Thursday at 1:30 p.m as they take on Wyoming, followed by facing Air Force on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and finally finishing the home season at 1 p.m. on Saturday versus Colorado State which will serve as Senior Day.

About the Competition
Wyoming (8-7) enters the match with the Bulldogs coming off a dominating 7-0 performance over MW opponent Colorado State. The Cowgirls are 2-0 in conference play after also defeating Air Force. UW, though no longer in the ITA rankings, has been ranked as high as 60th in the country this season. This will be just the second meeting between the two schools as the 'Dogs defeated the Cowgirls 9-0 in the WAC Tournament on April 23, 1997.

The Air Force Falcons are 11-5 on the season and have split their first two MW matches this season. The team defeated Colorado State but fell to Wyoming which ended an eight match winning streak. The Falcons and Bulldogs have only met once in history in 1999 with Fresno State recording an 8-1 victory.

Colorado State enters the match with only three wins on the season and having dropped its first two conference matches. In the only match between Fresno State and CSU in 1998, the 'Dogs picked up a 5-0 victory.

Senior Day
Saturday will be the last home match for three Bulldog seniors as they face Colorado State. Melissa McQueen (Whitby, Canada), Bianca Modoc (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and Olga Kirpicheva have combined for 193 career singles victories, 42 team dual match wins, two WAC runner-ups and one WAC Championship (As of 4/3/13). The seniors have led a team comprised of mostly underclassmen this season to nine dual match wins so far and a 1-0 record in conference play.

McQueen Leading The Way
Senior Melissa McQueen leads the 'Dogs this season in singles with nine wins in dual matches and 19 overall victories. Her 19 wins is the highest wins total of her career surpassing the 17 overall wins she recorded last season. McQueen has moved into the top 20 all-time winningest singles players in Fresno State history as she sits tied for 15th with Maria Mendez, Marta Pitarch and Kandiss Creighton with 66 career singles wins. She is one win shy of 10 dual match victories which would be the second most since recording 12 as a freshman.
