FRESNO, Calif. ---Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, the No. 55 Fresno State women's tennis team will look to rebound after dropping two incredibly close matches 4-3 last weekend in Las Vegas, Nev. The Bulldogs travel to Boise, Idaho and will face Boise State on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT and New Mexico on Sunday at 9 a.m. PT.

This is the final outing before the Mountain West Tournament next week in Colorado Springs and the 'Dogs will be attempting to secure a top seed. Currently, the 'Dogs and Broncos sit in a tie for third, each with a 4-2 conference record heading into the weekend behind conference leaders San Diego State (5-0) and UNLV (4-1).

About the Competition
Boise State (13-7) enters its last two regular season matches coming off of three straight Mountain West wins over Colorado State, Wyoming and Air Force in Colorado Springs. The Broncos are perfect at home this year going 8-0 at the Appleton Tennis Center. Junior Morgan Basil leads BSU with 15 dual match singles victories.

This will be the 16th meeting all-time between the Broncos and Bulldogs, with Fresno State leading the series 12-3. The squads last met in 2011, with the 'Dogs winning 4-3 in the WAC championship match.

New Mexico (7-12) picked up its first MW win of the year last weekend as they edged Colorado State 4-3. The Lobos are 3-3 in neutral site matches this year, while the 'Dogs are just 1-1.

This will be the 14th all-time meeting between Fresno State and New Mexico and first since 2006. The Bulldogs lead the series 9-4 and won the last meeting 5-2.

Sophie Finds Sweet Spot
Freshman Sophie Watts has hit quite the sweet spot lately as she rides an ten match singles winning streak into action this weekend. The Hitchin, England native arrived on campus in January and has made quite an impact on the Bulldog lineup as she leads the team in dual match wins with 14. Watts has not lost and has only dropped a single set since the 'Dogs road trip to Arizona in mid-February.

Modoc Marks Down Double Digits
Following two doubles and one singles wins last weekend, Bianca Modoc moved into double digit wins in both doubles and singles in dual matches. Modoc has an identical record in singles and doubles at 10-9 with two regular season matches remaining. In singles, she has won three of her last four and six out of the last 10. In doubles, she and partner, Sophie Watts, have caught fire here at the end of the season as they have won six consecutive matches together and are 7-0 on the season at No. 2.

Doubles Duos
After many changes in the doubles lineup early in the season, the Bulldogs seem to have found at least two good fits in the lineup. Melissa McQueen and Rana Sherif Ahmed lead the team with 11 dual match victories, while Bianca Modoc and Sophie Watts are undefeated while playing at the No. 2 spot with seven wins this season.

McQueen Making History
Senior Melissa McQueen ranks second on the team this season with twelve wins in singles during dual matches and leads the team with 22 overall victories. Her 22 wins is the highest wins total of her career surpassing the 17 overall wins she recorded last season. With a win over UNLV's Anett Ferenczi-Bako, the Whitby, Canada native tied her career high dual match singles wins at 12 which she also did as a freshman. McQueen has moved into the top 15 all-time winningest singles players in Fresno State history as she sits alone at 14th with 69 career singles wins and is two wins behind Cecile Boudais and Tinesta Rowe who are tied for 12th.

Super Seniors
Fresno State is led by three seniors who are seeking a conference championship to end a stellar career. Melissa McQueen (Whitby, Canada), Bianca Modoc (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and Olga Kirpicheva (Moscow, Russia) have combined for 201 career singles victories, 45 team dual match wins, two WAC runner-ups and one WAC Championship (As of 4/17/13). The seniors have led a team comprised of mostly underclassmen this season to 12 dual match wins so far and a 4-2 record in Mountain West conference play.
