Wyoming Volleyball Holds First Spring Tournament

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball Team recently hosted their first tournament of the spring, on Saturday, March 24.

With a split squad, each team went 4-0 overall during the competition. The Wyoming team defeated Northwest College, Mesa, Regis and Western Wyoming, while the Cowgirl team earned victories against Casper College, Mesa, Regis and LCCC.

"The team played great and I was excited to see Bridget (Shanahan) and Katherine (Feldman) get their first taste of Cowgirl volleyball," said head coach Carrie Yerty. "We split our teams into two squads and they were both successful. It has been nice to see solid play and depth in each position during the spring."

The Cowgirls will continue their spring workouts over the next several weeks and compete in three more tournaments. They are at the Norco Tournament, on Saturday, March 31, CSU on Saturday, April 14, before wrapping things up on Saturday, April 21, at the UNK Tournament.
