Aztecs To Host Hawai'i and One-Day Tourney

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The San Diego State Aztec volleyball team will host the University of Hawai'i in a scrimmage and a one-day tournament this weekend. The matches are part of SDSU's spring practice sessions, which run through May 3, as it prepares for the fall season.
The Aztecs will square off against the nationally-ranked Rainbow Wahine on Friday, April 11, at 4:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym. The scrimmage is expected to last approximately three hours with the teams competing until about 7:00 p.m.
On Saturday the Aztecs will host their spring tournament in Peterson Gym with a field that includes Hawai'i, UC Irvine. Cal State Fullerton, UC Riverside and a team comprised of recent SDSU volleyball alums (XTECS). The teams will pair off and play 50-minute matches beginning at 8:30 a.m. and running through 3:30 p.m.
There is no admission charge for anyone interested in attending either the scrimmage or tourney. Seating in the bleachers will not be available either day so fans are advised to bring their own folding (e.g. "beach") chairs. The complete tourney schedule is as follows:
