    Mountain West league action begins this week. Newcomer Fresno State travels to Boise State for the first Conference match of the season on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. MT.

    Notes from Around the League:

      • Week 5 - Conference Play Begins ... The 14th season of Mountain West play begins on Thursday, Sept. 20 with Fresno State at Boise State at 4 p.m. MT, followed by UNLV at Air Force and Colorado State at New Mexico at 7 p.m. MT ... Nevada will host Texas Tech in the only non-conference match of the week on Wednesday, Sept. 19, before hosting San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 22 in the Wolf Pack's first MW action ... Colorado State is receiving votes in this week's AVCA Top 25 poll.

      • Week 4 - All-Tournament Team Honorees:

      • By The Numbers ...
      1,000 - San Diego State senior Andrea Hannasch became the 41st Mountain West player to record 1,000 career kills with her last kill of the match against Brown on Sept. 15. Hannasch has 1,000 kills to date.

      1988 - Colorado last hosted a defending national champion in Fort Collins in 1988. Saturday's match against No. 2 UCLA was the first time since 1993 that a top-two team had been to Fort Collins.

      11 - New Mexico extended its winning streak to 11 before losing at Oklahoma, 3-0 on Sept. 15. It was the third longest winning streak in UNM history.

      10 - Nevada ended its 10-match losing streak on Sept. 15 with a 3-1 win over Cal Poly.

      8 - Air Force sophomore Hillary Keltner has eight double-doubles in 13 matches for the Falcons, the most in the league this season.
