This Week - Current Mountain West Conference leader UNLV 11-5 (3-0 MW) comes to Reno riding a five-match winning streak ... Three of those wins have come against MW foes, including Air Force (W, 3-1), Boise State (W, 3-2) and New Mexico (W, 3-0) ... Madeline Westman (MB/OH - 166 kills), Daryn Glenn (OH - 150 kills) and Stephanie Thelen (S/OH - 141 kills) have led the Rebel attack ... Fresno State 9-6 (2-1 MW) defeated New Mexico 3-1 in its last match to tie Colorado State for second in the Mountain West ... Marissa Brand has led the Fresno State attack with 205 kills ... The Bulldogs are 3-2 on the road so far in 2012.
Last Week - The Wolf Pack continued Mountain West play, on the road for two matches, with the first at conference favorite Colorado State on Thursday (L, 3-0) ... On Saturday night at 6 p.m., the Pack will met Wyoming (L, 3-2) to close out the weekend ... Nevada rode into Moby Arena on a three-match winning streak, the longest since a three-game streak late in the 2010 season ... Colorado State had lost two straight before getting the best of the Pack ... Three players had at least 10 kills against Wyoming, led by Tessa Lea’ea with 18 ... Janelle Batista had 14 kills while Grace Anxo had 10.
Conference Ranking - A number of Nevada players are in the top-10 in various categories in the Mountain West. Dana Holt is fifth with 528 assists. Tessa Lea’ea is fourth in blocks at 86, sixth in points at 241.5 and eighth in kills at 192. Two Nevada players, Grace Anxo and Kelly Chang, are in the top-10 in service aces. Anxo is sixth with 18 and Chang is eighth with 16.
Twice as Nice - Against Wyoming, the Wolf Pack saw two players record a double-double in the same match for the first time in 2012. Dana Holt posted her team leading fourth with 46 assists and 12 digs and Grace Anxo recorded her second with 10 kills and 12 digs.
Three’s Company - Nevada has had three players record at least 10 kills four times this season, most recently against Wyoming on Saturday, when Tessa Lea’ea (18), Janelle Batista (14) and Grace Anxo (10) all hit double-digits.
