      • Week 14 - Conference Title and NCAA Automatic Bid on the line for CSU and SDSU ... Colorado State and San Diego State begin the week tied for first place in the Mountain West at 12-3. Each team has one match left in the regular season ... The Aztecs host Nevada on Tuesday night with the chance to clinch a share of the title with a win. SDSU has never won an MW women's volleyball title - regular season or tournament. The Aztecs have been close twice, finishing second in regular season action in 2002 and 2011 ... The Rams, receiving votes in this week's AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll, host New Mexico on Friday night for the opportunity to earn their 10th MW regular season crown. It would be the Rams' fourth consecutive title.

      • Who Gets the NCAA Automatic Bid if there is a tie for 1st? ... Since the Mountain West is not conducting a tournament in 2012 to determine its NCAA automatic qualifier, the bid comes down to a tiebreaker system. The first step is head-to-head Conference match record between the tied teams. Colorado State and San Diego State split the 2012 series with each team winning on its home court (1-1). The tie between CSU and SDSU will be decided by the second step, head-to-head set record in Conference matches. CSU won, 3-0, and picked up a set win at SDSU in the 3-1 loss to the Aztecs. Therefore, CSU holds a 4-3 set wins advantage and would earn the automatic bid.

      • By The Numbers ...
400 - Colorado State head coach Tom Hilbert earned his 400th win as the Rams mentor on Nov. 13 after a 3-1 win at Northern Colorado.

2 - As in two wins against Top 25 opponents for San Diego State head coach Deitre Collins-Parker and the Aztecs. SDSU beat then-No. 17 California, 3-2, on Aug. 25 and then-No. 18 San Diego, 3-1, last week.

      • Voting for Cranston for Senior CLASS Award Ends Nov. 26 ... Colorado State's Dana Cranston has been named one of the 10 women's volleyball finalists for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award®.
