Thirteen MW Student-Athletes Taken In 2016 MLB Draft

 

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A total of 13 Mountain West student-athletes were drafted in 2016 by Major League Baseball teams, led by MW Co-Pitchers of the Year Griffin Jax of Air Force and Jimmy Lambert of Fresno State. Jax, a junior, was selected in the third round by the Minnesota Twins, while Lambert, also a junior, went in the fifth round to the Chicago White Sox.

Underclassmen have until July 15 to sign with their teams or return to their university for an additional season of competition.
