COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State’s Johannes Seeman was selected as the Mountain West Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.

On the women’s side, New Mexico’s Katherine Jhang was tabbed the MW Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, while Fresno State’s Eliza Dunbar was named the MW Women’s Freshman of the Week.

MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JOHANNES SEEMAN, SAN DIEGO STATE

Senior, Pärnu, Estonia/ Fresno State

  • Helped the Aztecs to a 1-0 week to finish nonconference action with a 5-2 win over Portland.
  • At No. 1 singles, defeated Oscar Brown in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
  • Competing in the No. 2 doubles flight with partner Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice, earned San Deigo State the first half of the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Nicolas Ocana and Nikola Keremedchiev.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KATHERINE JHANG, NEW MEXICO

Senior, Taichung, Taiwan/Idaho

  • Helped the Lobos to a 1-0 week in Conference play with a 4-3 victory over San José State.
  • Logged a No. 1 doubles win, 7-6 (7-3), while clinching the doubles point for New Mexico.
  • At No. 1 singles, clinched the match with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win.

WOMEN’S TENNIS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

ELIZA DUNBAR, FRESNO STATE

Traralgon, Victoria, Australia/Laballa Catholic

  • Helped the Bulldogs to a 4-1 win over Air Force.
  • In the No. 2 doubles spot, posted a 6-1 victory and clinched the first half of the doubles point.
  • In the No. 6 singles flight, logged a straight-sets win, 6-2, 6-4.
