RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The 2024 Mountain West Women’s Golf Championship will be played at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club (par-72, 6,286 yards) from Tuesday, April 16, to Thursday, April 18. It will be the 11th consecutive MW Championship to be contested at Mission Hills.

All nine Mountain West teams will participate in the 54-hole championship, which will see the squads play 18 holes each day, with tee times beginning at 7 a.m. PT.

Entering the championship, seven of the nine MW programs are ranked in the top 100 nationally. San José State paces the Conference at No. 26, followed by Colorado State (52), UNLV (67), New Mexico (74), San Diego State (89), Nevada (95), Fresno State (100), Boise State (104) and Wyoming (170).

Individually, five MW golfers rank inside the top 100 nationally. San José State’s Kajsa Arwefjäll leads the way at No. 16, with UNLV’s Toa Yokoyama also inside the top 50 at No. 33. Colorado State’s Andrea Bergsdottir is No. 57, followed by New Mexico’s Lauren Lehigh (81) and SJSU’s Lucia Lopez Ortega (86).

New Mexico is the defending team champion. The Lobos, who have won two of the last three MW Championships, will try to extend their league record with an 11th title overall. UNM looks to become the league’s first back-to-back tournament champion since UNLV won three straight from 2016-18.

Arwefjäll is the top individual returner from last year’s field, as she finished second at 5-under-par 211 in 2023.
